Today around 1:10pm Jerome Middle School and Summit Elementary utilized our ALICE Safety Protocols and went into a SECURE (all students in the building and exterior doors secured/locked) status after the report of a loud noise apparently from a nearby neighborhood. Out of an abundance of caution the JMS Resource Officer patrolled the nearby neighborhoods in an effort to investigate. It was determined that there was no threat to the schools. There was minimal disruption to learning and the SECURE status was removed as of 1:25pm. Safety of our students and staff is our number one priority, we take all plausible threats seriously. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
